1) When does practice begin?
• Practice begins the week of August 26th.

2) When do games begin?
• The league games will be scheduled to start the week of September 9th.

3) What days will practice be held?
• Practice days are assigned to each team. Each team will be assigned 1 day and time during the week to practice until the season starts, and a practice time on Saturday that continues during the season. Some Saturdays will not be available due to make up games or tournaments.   Weekday practices are typically and hour and a half, Saturday practices are typically 1 hour; those practice lengths are general guidelines and will vary based on age with the younger kids having shorter practice times during the week and the older kids (such as at White River) having longer practice times.

4) What days will games be played?
• Games will be played on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.  And some Fridays, and maybe even Saturdays, possible depending on weather.  The first games starting at 5:30/6:00 at Kessler Park, 6:00 at White River ballpark. and the second at approximately 7:00/7:30/8:00 depending on age group.
Rainouts will be fit in as field space permits during weekdays including Fridays and also on some Saturdays.
There are no set days for any single team.
Any team can play any of these days in any time slot. A computer program determines the schedule.

5) When will the uniforms be ready?
• Before the season begins.

6) Can players be placed on a team together?
• The only way to guarantee players to be on a team together is for the parents to sponsor/coach together.  Otherwise, ages 4-6 are placed on teams by school when possible, ages 7-8 are placed on teams randomly, ages 9-15 are drafted by the league coaches.
• A sibling can move up 1 age group max to be on the same team with their brother/sister.
• If a player does move up an age group, whether sibling request or by general request, that player must remain "moved up" in age for the remainder of their time in FYB until they reach the time to start playing at White River (ages 13 - 15).  At that time, if the player is not yet 13 in baseball age but has played 2 years in the 11-12 yr old age group, they can request to remain back in the 11-12 yr old age group one more year so that they will be be 13 when they actually move to the big fields at White River.   We will allow this for player safety at White River.

7) How many games per week?
• There will not be more than two regularly scheduled games per week.  Depending on how the scheduling works out, you may sometimes only play one game per week.  Or, if you have to make up a rainout game, you could possibly play three games per week (2 regularly scheduled, 1 make-up).

8) Can I place a whole team in the league together?
• No.  The most players that can start a team together is 3.  We allow a sponsor and 2 coaches to start a team, for a maximum of 3 players.  You do NOT have to have a sponsor to request to coach together.  If you wish to coach together but don't have a sponsor let us know and one will be assigned to your team.

9)  Are metal cleats allowed?
•  No.  Metal cleats are NOT allowed for any age group at any ballpark.

10)  What equipment do I need?
•  You need to provide your own pants, cleats, and glove.
The league will provide socks, hat, and jersey.  Those things won't be available until about when games start so any hat, socks, and shirt will work for practice.
The coach/team decides the color of pants, the league does not force a pant color.  Most teams wear gray, some will wear white depending on the jersey color.
If you want to buy your own bat, you can, but kids do share a lot so it's not required.
You can buy your own batting helmet if you want to, but the league will provide batting helmets for games and practices.
If you do buy your own helmet, a face mask is required for ages 4 - 12.

11)  How do I know what age group my player qualifies for?
•  The cutoff date for calculating "baseball age" is May 1st.
For Spring league registration, whatever age your player is on the upcoming April 30th, which will be in the current calendar year, is the age group that they will play in.
For Fall league registration, whatever age your player is on the upcoming April 30th (which will actually be in the next calendar year) is the age group that they will play in.
Spring League and Fall League use the same cutoff date; so the player will play the same age group in Fall and Spring.
