  • When are Skills Exhibitions?: February 28th at Kessler for ages 9 - 12. February 28th at White River for ages 13 - 15. See our home page for location and time based on age. http://www.fybaseball.com
  • When do practices start?: Practice begins Feb 28 for ages 4-8, March 2 for ages 9-15.
  • When do games begin?: The league games will be scheduled to start week of April 6th at Kessler Park and White River both.
  • What days will practice be held?: Practice days are assigned to each team. Each team will be assigned 1 day and time during the week to practice until the season starts, and a practice time on Saturday that continues during the season
  • What days will games be played?: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. And maybe even Saturdays, possible depending on weather. The first games starting at 5:30/6:00 (depending on age) and the second at approximately 7:00-7:30.
  • Can players be placed on a team together: The only way to guarantee players on a team together is for the parents to sponsor/coach together. Otherwise, ages 4-6 are by school WHEN POSSIBLE (no guarantees), 7-8 placed on teams randomly, age 9-15 drafted.
  • How many games per week?: There will not be more than 2 regularly scheduled games per week. Depending on how the scheduling works out, you may sometimes only play 1 game per week.

  • Are metal cleats allowed?: No. Metal cleats are NOT allowed in any age group at any ballpark.
  • What equipment do I need?: You need to provide your own pants, cleats,and glove. You can buy your own bat if you want to, you can also buy your own batting helmet if you want to. Facemasks are required for ages 4-12.
  • What are important dates I need to know?: 2/28: Skills Exhibition for ages 9 - 15 2/26 & 3/1: Coaches meeting/draft 2/28 & 3/2: Practices begin 4/3: FYB Golf Tournament 4/6: Opening day Kessler 4/6: Opening day White River 4/11: Jamboree/Picture Day 5/14: Regular season ends 5/18: Post-season tournament begins 5/26: Championship games 5/28: All-Star games See website for more dates.
